We want to thank everyone for voting for Texas Actors Workshop alumnus, Christy Keller, a finalist for a role in "Whatever, the web series". She ended up in 2nd place by only 43 votes. Christy says this is amazing considering how far behind she started, and that the other actress she was up against has more than 900 Facebook friends. But the best news is that the Producers of 'Whatever' liked her so much, that they are giving her another part in the series! Christy feels that all of your votes and comments really helped make that happen. She's planning to post a link on Facebook (which we'll pass along) when the series comes out. Thanks again for all your support!

We would like to Congratulate the Winners of our first-ever Audition Challenge:

Level II (youth) - Mia Garza
Level II (adult) - Ashley Reneigh
Thanks to everyone who participated in this fun and challenging competition.

We've recently received several inquiries about the legitimacy of heavily advertised programs
promising to put San Antonio/ Austin actors on quick paths to success at major networks or in
movies, after minimal training lasting just a few weeks.

Our standard response to programs that promise actors huge opportunities and results, with
little or no serious training, is covered in our FAQs. In our opinion, it simply does not make
sense for untrained, unknown actors to expect to be signed by established L.A. agents and
then cast in major speaking roles on TV shows/ movies. When it does happen, it's
a rare exception.

These types of promises are frequently just bait, to charge you huge sums of money. Please
be very cautious. Anyone interested in your long-term growth should probably not be asking
for more than $250 up front from you. We hope this helps and we look forward to training
seriously-minded actors who realize there are rarely shortcuts to success.
